Starting June 1st, Nextel is introducing the Spending Limit Program (SL) in order to help Customers monitor and manage spending, while keeping churn rate low! The Spending Limit program is not a new product but an extension of policies regarding Customer credit. Customers who qualify for the program pay a reduced deposit and have a per-unit spending limit placed on their account. The Spending Limit Program is sure to enable you to close more sales as it will reach a broader market!
This program is designed to monitor the Customer's spending, provide a notification when a limit is approached, and suspend a Customer's phone should the spending limit be reached.
Nextel will have an ASL (assigned spending limit) program. Customers will be approved with a $100 deposit per line up to 5 lines with a $250 spending limit per line. This is what customers have been waiting for (just as long as they pay the bill) they won't need the huge $500 deposit per line unless they have an old balance with Nextel.
All Nextel ARs are required to complete the SL training on the Indirect Website

Now all the people that use sprint and don't pay can over to nextel and not pay. :king:You know .. i did think the same as Sprint has a similar program .. but, then there are those that just need an honest new start and break, this is a positive move in the right direction and hopefully will not create a bad situation which will force Nextel to stop this program.
nextel is tough to get by concerning credit approval, lets see what happens ..
i now have plenty of clients to get back now :)

So wait, I'm 19 and couldn't get approved for a credit card if my life depended on it! (I've worked at Target for almost two years and can't even get approved for the store card.) Could I get my own account with Nextel?!
I'm currently on one of those shared programs with my sister and she doesn't pay her bill until our phones get turned off. (Which is everyother month! I can't just pay bill and have them turn hers off, if one doesn't pay we're both shit out of luck.) The thing is our contract was up the begining of April, and we're just going month to month with the same rate plan and all. And if they turn our shit off (which they're about to do), I don't think they'll turn it back on. So IF my mom even decides to renew our contract (she's the account holder) I'll still be in the same situation, and I don't want to pay $500 for a deposit for my own account. I can deal with $100 though!

Well first go to your local rep (look online for one if you dont know of one), but stay away from online sales .. support the little guys  ...
have them run your credit and see what you return ..
From experience .. I have seen people in great financial positions in their life get denied .. I have also experienced the other sides; one where the client is young, no credit and sometimes get approved .. then there are some that are in the middle _can_ afford the line, just purchased a car, house, etc get denied .. :jo:
have you tried before?
it's the funny way credit rating/scoring is worked ..
Good Luck ..

I would be happy supporting the "little guys" but they usually don't have as a good a deal. Online sales I could get a free i730 (after rebates)! If I go to the little guys I'll pay $150!
Yeah I see shit like that all the time, I work at Target Guest Service (customer service) and we'll have people who own BMWs, this one lady with a H2 and diamonds everywhere and not get approved for a Target Visa. But people who can barely clothe their kids are always approved!
Have I tried what before?! Applying for an account with Nextel!? No, I also have alot of inquires on my credit report and they usually disappear after 6 monthes so I've been trying to hold off. Plus I haven't had to worry about getting my own account cause I was on my mom's.
Thanks for all your help though!
