View Full Version : problems with registry
Can someone who knows. tell me how to remove parts of programs left over after uninstalling them? I had DeadAIM installed but have since removed it, now when wondows starts I get an error message that says a DeadAIM file can't be found, I went into msconfig and unchecked its occurence but I would like to just remove it. What can I do to get rid of it and one or two others in there that I saw.

Well correct me if i am wrong anyone but just click start, run and type regedit and that will go straight into your registry and click on edit and then find, type in deadaim and enter make sure when searching you are highlited on my computer and it will automatically seach for the files and you can delete them. When the first is deleted do step 2 over and over untill it cannot find the file anymore.
I know you prob know all this mike it was in no way intended to undermind your intellect. I was just trying to help brother, forgive me if this sounded stupid.

u can do that but messing with the registry isnt always the best idea. try a registry cleaner and that may help you out.
