View Full Version : HOW TO "FLASH" A 730

I WAS WONDERING IF SOMEONE COULD TELL ME HOW TO FLASH MY 730. MY PHONE IS HAVING SOME PROBLEMS, AND SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT I MAY NEED TO FLASH IT, BUT I DONT KNOW HOW.

When you say flash, do you mean re-write software? If so, just goto idenupdate and you will be set. I know tmobile sidekicks have the option to flash with htconsole, and it does the same thing as idenupdate would do for nextel.

remove the back cover and the battery. to the upper left theres a little piece of metal you hold for a while and boom reset.

maybe that will help.. :?

Are you talking about the space where you plug in an aux antenna? How would you be able to reset the phone with out having power by battery to make this possible? I am interested in this. Lets us know. Thanks

well I know the 730 has a memory battery but I dont think i95 dose so that just dont sound right to me :thinking:

so if i take out the memory battery from my i730 what will it do? just erase all my memory? or will it "format" the phone?

Did you load something to your phone like an animated gif or something to cause the phone to have problems? If so and you are asking how to put the phone is flash strap mode to read with a loader you need to:

Get the phone into flashtrap by powering it on while holding down both softkeys. Softkeys are the buttons on both sides of the up arrow key.

There is no reset on the phone itself behind the battery

i know how to put it in a flash trap, but tis not that its a test IMEI and it wont get service
