Torrent Question

Ok i been downloading torrents for years now and why in the heck does videos have cd1 and cd2. Also can i put them together and burn them as one. By the way all stuff i download is stuff i own and use for backup purposes only.

I use to see cd1 and cd 2 back in the day before dvd burners were popular, I think it was cause the movies couldent fit on one cd

That is what it is. Older files or people with older ways posting things in sections. Plus, the size of the files also play a little part in it.
