I recently changed my first housing, everything went fine, at least i thought, until I went to start the phone, it turned on! i was all excited..
So i went to make a call and the earpiece will not work, I can turn on speakerphone and hear everything....but when i go to listen to it without the speakerphone on, no sound comes out... EVERYTHING else works 100%.. Is it worth trying to fix it? or should i just part it out save up some money and buy a new phone?

I checked the wires, NOTHING seems broke, or bent or too tight. but im not a genius when it comes to this.

Any suggestions?

Check the ribbon connection if it plug in good you probly need a new ribbon/ext lcd.

Yeah most likely you stretched the ribbon when reinstalling it. Just get a new one and be careful when you put the new one in.
