All wallpaper sizes are in pixels and in .gif format. The max size able to be loaded to a phone is 16kb.
Inner: i860 and i870 - 176x220 wallpapers
Outer: i860 and i870 - 94x64
i730 and i830 - 130x130(max) wallpapers
i95 - 127x133(max) wallpapers
These phones will show 16 wallpapers including the 3 undeletable oem ones. The reason i say show is because you can load more than 16, however only 16 will show on the list, the others are stored in your phone. When you delete one the next one will pop up on the list. I find this to be a nice feature when changing startup images. That way you can load all the regular pics you want, then add the startup images last so they dont take up space on your list and keep you from having all the pics you want.
Another thing to keep in mind, is that you want to name all these files in LOWER CASE letters including the .gif. If there is a capital letter in the whole thing it will not show up on the list and you cannot remove it. Numbers are allowed.
