Software/Hardware needed for this Mod
**Install** USB Cable (USB or Serial)
**Download/Install** USB Drivers for your Data Cable (for USB cable only)
**Download/Install** Carrier RSS or Super Agent RSS
**Download/Install** Hex Editor 2.0
Mod Instructions
01. Connect your cable to your computer.
02. Connect your cable to your FULLY CHARGED and POWERED ON cell phone.
03. Launch RSS and goto FILE and then READ PHONE.
04. A "Read Phone" window will appear displaying messages regarding what the RSS program is doing. WAIT for the "Operation was successful" message to appear and then click the OK button.
05. Goto FILE and then SAVE AS. You can save your codeplug anywhere you would like and name it anything you like. Just remember where you saved it and what you named it. Once you've saved your file, minimize the RSS program.
06. Using Windows Explorer, or similar method, navigate to your backup image. For example; C:\Program Files\Motorola\iDEN RSS\Carrier\BackupCodeplugs\Codeplug1.dbf
07. Make a copy of this file and place it elsewhere on your computer. It helps if you rename the file. For example; C:\Temp\ModdedCodeplug1.dbf
08. Launch Hex Editor 2.0. Goto FILE and then OPEN. Navigate to your copied codeplug file and open it. Once your codeplug is open, goto EDIT and then GOTO... and type in 140F and then click the OK button. This will take you to the first offset you need to edit. Edit offset 0b replacing the existing value with 8b. Save your codeplug when you're finished.
09. Launch RSS again (or maximize it) and open your newly hacked codeplug.
10. If you have unplugged your phone, make sure it's turned on and plug your data cable back into it. Goto FILE and then WRITE PHONE. As before when you read your codeplug, a window will appear displaying messages regarding what the RSS program is doing. WAIT for the completion message to appear and then click the OK button.
11. Power cycle your phone and you've now enabled Speaker phone on your i30sx or i50sx.
