Can't get direct connet to work

Hey folks, on this 930, I cant get the DC to work. I must of hit something but I sure as heck can't find it. At the top of the screen, it has the walkie talkie symbol with a little red sign like the no smoking sign(the little red circle with the line through it). Ive went through about every single thing on the phone and it still won't work. Could someone help me out. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.:)

Along with that, I can receive and make phone calls, but I cant make or receive direct connet.

sounds like you turned the speaker off lol hit the speaker button on the top of the phone
the one furthest from the antena

Maybe thats what that is. The speaker is on, the volume is all the way up, and it still doesn't work. Every PTT contact is NOT avail when I try them. The calls will come in and go out, not the ptt. Anyone?

Try doing a master reset maybe you bought this phone from someone else? and the phone would then require a master reset in your menu under settings connectivity and master reset 6 zero's is the code.

I bought it new about 2 weeks ago and it worked perfect till today. Thanks for your help Compacter, Im just gonna take it back to the store.:up:

Try a cold boot and see if that helps. With the 930 a cold boot is what sets everything back to factory. WHen the phone is powered off hold the left softkey only and power it on and follow the instructions.
