This is my first post. I was wondering if you guys do your own changing of housings and how old you guys are? Do you think its too complicated for me to change the case on my own i730? Im 15 by the way. All suggestions are welcomed. Thanks

i say go to your local cellphone dealer and ask if they can do it, or send it to someone on this board or nexvision on nextelmodz. Its very common to mess up the ribbon on the phone, and it will set you back quite a few dollars. Most people will charge less for the housing and installation than the price of the ribbon. But if you want to try it out, i suggest you be very careful....

I agree with eye95 :up:
but go here if you want to see the video http://djjeffa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=402
remember i have done many housing changes so it may look eazier then it is.

aiello1, age has nothing to do with. a 10 yr old can mod a phone if he knows what he is doing. I highly suggest you get a phone you dont care about to practice on. it will give you some experience and if it does go bad, oh well. also, the video in djjeffa's link is EXCELLENT :up:

i agree i started out with a busted 95 in which the ribbon was already messed up, id say if you can do an i90 or 95 then you can master any housing change

::edit:: im 15 also

Partsman let me try it on a busted i90 of his so i didn't have to worry, but once you do a few it is easy as cake, I can do em so fast now. But if you don't have anything to practice with take it to some one.

thats so true lol first phone i brought to life was my own i95 when i had it when i found it it was crushed by a car and piece by piece i fixed it i would agree to start with a busted phone so u can master it the only problem is that u dont know if u did it right or wrong so u just gonna have to hope u have an idea of wha ur doin cuz i mastered it on a broken i90 and i95 but when i did it with a good phone i was nerves not knowin if i was gonna do it right

on my behalf i say go and try it because i did my i730 housing it is very easy to do easier than the i90 and i95 because you dont really need heat but u need a t6 and t4 screwdriver but the hard part is to get to the flip u need to take apart the whole phone,not liek the i90 u can just pop off the flip :wink: but i say try it go slow first one took me 3 hours to do the hardest part is takeing off the medal back plate without messign up the speaker ribbon :up:

and yes im 15 and been doing cases since i was 13
