Your tutorial was great and I cant wait to modd my i95 but I have a question about the i90 faceplate install I keep running into the problem of trying to get the inner faceplace to get into place but the big white glob on the end of the faceplace mod. Stops the inner faceplate from going on How do you get around this?

The glob looked like a large drop of glue, it is located at the very end of the mod circuit. I was able to get the inner faceplate on but I messed up two leds I dont know how I messed them up but I did. When you say trimming what do you mean? Also, big ups on the tutorial I would not have tried the install if you didnt have it posted. Also, is there anyway to fix the leds or should I just go out and buy a new one and retry it?

It depends the daul vent mods in my tutatorial flash with the keypad but the last batch I had were tri Vent mods and the flashed on there own.

Anybody know when the flip leds flash. Is it on a signal or when you open the flip or what. I did a set and the vents flash but not the flip. :thinking:

hey man, i did my phone and it worked great for about a day (flashing flip on an i90) then all of a sudden it wouldn't flash when the flip was open, so i disasembleed it and broke the screen lol (got a nohter one) and put it back to gether, worked great for about 2 minutes and now it wont flash when the phone is closed thhe only way to get it to flash when it is closed is to apply pressure or slap hte flip. ANY HELP?

the ribbon for the flashing flip may be loose or damaged :thinking:, also check if the ribbon leading to the 4 litte battery conneectors isnt loose

Check the adhesive on the contacts that touch your battery. Or make sure the 2 outer contacts are touching the 2 outer contacts on the boards.

guys i found out the problem wiht the flip, it is the SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMing flashing antenna, if i cup my hand aroudn the antenaa the flip lights up. so i put an oem antenaa in and now the works when its closed

yea it is possible but it is hard and takes a good amount of soldering and stuff.

well would you want it to flash like a flip insert or would you want it to just light with the outer lcd.
and also just curious why would you want to do your own when the materials to build it would cost the same as buing the insert?
