1. Download and install Cool Edit Pro 2.0 Here (http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/11/1/4/11-1-4-6.shtml)
2. Open an MP3 or wav file (pic 1).
3. Either drag the yellow arrows to the start and finish or simply type in the times in the bottom right corner for SEL start and finish. I usually make the ringers 20-30 seconds otherwise they take up alot of space. (pic 2).
4. Right click the section you want and copy it.
5. Go to File>New... then it will prompt for a new waveform.
6. Select it as Sample Rate 8000, Mono Channel, 8-bit Resolution hit ok (pic 3).
7. Right click in the new screen and hit paste.
8. Select File>Save As... then save youre new wav as a windows pcm wav.
9. Done.|

Hi everyone! I heard that there is a way to compress the wav's so that 13 ringtones would fit on the i730. Is this possible? If yes what program do I use to compress the Wav's? Thanks

Click the help -> About button in the cool edit program, you should see the website address, go there and you'll find the price + ordering instructions.

Just shorten the name of the file. E.G. instead of apple_of_the_market just double click the name (apple_of_the_market) and rename it to just apple.

in all actuallity its probably a whole lot easier just to use sony sound forge to make ya ringtones thats the program i use its very easy and u only need one program beause u can cut the tone and convert it all in one porgram and it is very simple to do so it takes me an average of maybe 15 seconds to make a ringtone thats with cutting and converting so if you would like i would be more then happy to post a tutorial on this program on this site....let me know

if you read this tutorial youll see that this is using one program to do all the steps, it doesnt take but a few seconds to make a ringtone using my method.
