To get webjal to work simply go into the program files and go into the Motorola folder and click on the webjal patcher. That actually installs it. To do this go to my computer, drive c, program files, motorola, iden webjal and run the patcher in there.

ok this is my last post for you it seems like you have no clue what your doing and maybe you shouldnt be doing this at all but anyway you could save your ring tones and wallpapers were ever you want just make sure the wallpapers ar in gif fomat befor you upload them to your phone and as for the ring tones I think they are bad sice you say it start to tranfer and dont finnish and when it dose it dont show them.I dont know whatto tell you bro I tried but it sounds like your the problem and I have no clue what you are doing buit it aint working :aw:

I keep getting a failed to communicate and check you preferences and I know I did everything write cause it used to work and now it wont. I installed webjal, patch and usb drivers and still nothing. Please Help. :aw:

if your using a USB cable, go to preferences and click connect via usb connection. If that doesnt work, try unplugging your phone and then plugging it in again. Or you can try turning the phone on and off.

Or just wait for JaffaJal to be released to the public either late this week or early next week

I bought it got my password and login name and it doesnt work for me. im running on Windows 2000 NT Professional, and when i open the program that little stop sign comes up and says loading application. then a pop up message says something like " Cannot recive needed information from server." 0k know the game begins i installed the right usb driver but now i have no problem logging on to server but when i try to upload a wallpaper my phone says no service and it comes up on the pc saying establishing phone connection then the whole program just closes itself out and i have to double click the iden icon again and it just does the same thing .

Edit file C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Make sure you remove any entries you have made for webjal or similar prog. Run patch and reboot your computer. Start up app and it will work. That's what I did. I had the same exact error.

Now when I start up app I get "Application was unable to find a phone attached. Please check your cable connection and your prefrences and try again." The phone is connected and when I connected cable phone said device detected.

I am using serial OEM cable.

I have a problem installing the patcher, when i attempt to install it an error appears. It says that a required DLL file, MSVBVM60.DLL, was not found, could some one please help.

i was able to figure out the MSVBVM60.DLL error, but know i get another error that says run time error 429 activex component can't creat object. How can i fix that. Does the the patcher work for windows 98.

ok im running windows XP my phone is i730, i installed webjal and the patch, i was able to load a few games and some images now its giving me this error i cant connect to phone anymore...

iDEN Web Java Application Loader has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. i have the debug send error and dont send error option once i click dont send some other error pops up

The instruction at "0x73dd1351" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read". Click ok to terminate the program... i click ok and all closes.

Also second problem since i put some games and some images the volume of my phoneis incredibly low when i talk to people.. i put it at maximum and its seems like its half of what it used to be anyone know what the problem is? is it a problem withj the phone? i just got it about 2 weeks ago i can always bring it back anyone ? please all help is apreciated

I was able to install webjal with all the various patches and applications without a problem (the instructions are phenomenal), however the program will not recognize my i730. When I try to connect to the phone, I get an error message that reads "The application was unable to find a phone attached. Please check your cable connection and your preferences. Click Retry to try again or Cancel to stop." Interestingly, the iDEN Update Application can't find the phone either, but the iDEN Phonebook Manager works fine (same computer, same serial port and cable). I was able to get Myjal working on a Win2k laptop, and the iDEN Update Application working on a Win98SE machine, so I'm thinking it's either Win98 or something specific to my desktop. I've tried moving the serial port to different COM ports and changing baud rates and flow control protocols, but none of that makes a difference. I've even downloaded Listen32 and Socket Spy to eavesdrop on the "conversation" between phone and computer, but all I could tell is that the phonebook manager and update application connect differently, but I couldn't get enough detail to see much beyond that. Am I missing something dumb? Thanks in advance.

you no longer need to be connected to the net to run webjal, if your using my patcher or new version 2.0 server there is no need for the net, but if your using pats method then you have to be online so he can authenticate you, sucks, but some people like it, but most like mine because its completely offline! :dj:

Ok cool, thanks Vinnycuz. I myself used the IdenInsider patch and it seemed to work fine. I have not yet tried it with a phone but the software itself runs clean and crisp. Im running on cable so being on the net shouldnt be a problem, but I see how it could be if someone that has a laptop was trying to do it elsewhere then their house and needed to be connected. Hmm, mines workin fine guys, Ive had it installed for a week or so but today is the first time I used it. Possibly a timing error on the patch, I know a lot of cracks are not really poorly written, but on many there are time restrictions which are just bugs in the patch itself and not intentional. Hopefully you guys can get your webjal's werkin. :up:

Downloading it?? or installing it? When you download the patcher(from the webjal03 download thread) are you placing the patcher in the webjal folder? If so are you double clicking on the patcher and then clicking on install? If not what os are you running?

Once I have downloaded the patcher exe. into the webjal folder i open it and press install. it attempts to install and give me ( runtime error '70' permission denied) . everything else seems to be working, the webjal does work and my computer is reading my phone from the usb port. If i could get the patcher to work, i am sure the would run smoothly. I am running windows 98. thanks for replying to the last post

Ok so i finally got the everything installed but now everytime i try to download anything to my phone i get an error message that says :

Did you install the patch when it was in the iDEN WebJAL folder? Or did you install it outside the folder and then dragged it in...Also, just to let you know you leave the fields blank.

download and install a program called carrier rss and use the restore option it will delete all ringers and pictures

I have used webJAL and its a great program but I found one that I think is 1000000000000000000 better... seriously and it's a little easier to manage for a lot of people having problems with webjal

myJAL... one catch....there is a one time fee of $9.95 for unlimited use for unlimited nextels.....(don't worry they use PayPal)

I downloaded the program and tried it out, they give you a 7 day trial, and I also created all my own ringtones using the instructions here

Download the file, Install it, and in the setup they ask you for a hardware ID, they give you a link to click that automatically gives you your ID, when you click it, a box pops up with the number just copy and paste)

It does not require a username or password just click unlock and then connect to phone. It works best if you have a data cable with a USB port.

Ok right now there is alot of issues with Webjal so this may work It may not ill keep you posted as i receive new info on this but for now this is what i have for you.
DOWNLOAD webjal and the patch below, First Install webjal 02. Once you do that, install the patcher. Once you do that, open Webjal normally and if it asks for User name or Password, leave both of them blank and press OK.

If you dont see it below to download thats because you didnt log in to here or you not registered so do so now.

this question has been answered millions of times. install the patcher provided before you run webjal, there is a tutorial for the whole setup

If your phone wont connect to webjal i recommend going over the steps that even Nextel Says to do. 1 Make sure you have the drivers installed of usb. 2 Plug the phone into the cord, turn the phone off and then back on. 3 If turning off and back on dont work then turn off remove the battery, place back and then turn on again. One of those should work. Changing the buad rate isnt something i am familiar with. 19200 is factory set so i would leave it that way. Thats for serial connection if you go usb you need to check the usb box.

webjal does, except you have to be connected to an i710, i730, or i830. and when i say connected i mean the cable plugged in and the application connected to the phone via the connect to phone button

There is a problem with USB drive installation. i have no cable yet but just seeing if the usb would work cuz i seen like tons of threads about usb's not working, and the serial cable is looking very good now.

I tried the create your own server thing, i had 5 others do it. I got it here at work. They dont work. I dont know u maybe lucky and i know how to install webjal and use it dont get me wrong. Im not a mod for notin and dont give advice and help for notin

Yo teknidude, this is by far the easiest way to get webjal to work, since the server went down, i havent been able to figure out how to start my own server, when i would install apache and php and all that, when i went into my apache program files, folder, it would never have that certificate thing that the tutorial says should be there, and i get stuck with it not working...but the tutorial u posted got me up and working in like 30 seconds...i really appreciate it! thanks a lot...

This works for everyone that is having webjal problems. All it is is a change of ip for the webjal server so that webjal still believes its looking at it own server. Good Job!
