jeff i think you should make it so that for each thread that the sigs only display once per page. I dunno. i actually sorta liked that about hofo. saves bandwidth and makes the page shorter :)

For clarification, I have a need to keep some of my PMs until I get a "situation" settled with one of your mods and was concerned that your mod could edit/delete my "history trail" of our communications.

edit: Sorry, I just realized it is not one of your mods, but one of your "Crew". I have to assume that crew would have less authority than mod or admin rights so hopefully your response should still apply to them.

Although I don't think that this has to do with the site in particular, but recently my ISP has blocked my access to this site for reasons unknown to me. Obviously since I am posting, I have not been banned and I do not believe it to be any issue with the site rejecting me because when I type in any URL with djjeffa.com in it, it does not even resolve which is a telltale sign that somewhere there is a proxy rejecting the request. Right now I currently have to use an external proxy to connect to the site.

I guess that this problem is mostly on my end, I am unsure if my ISP has blocked the site for all users in the subnet range of if it is just my particular account (I have a dynamic DNS that has not changed ever since this started happening even after multiple attemps at renewing it).

I don't know why they would block this site and I have yet to have any other working site be blocked which leads me to wonder why? This site has somewhat questionable legalites but why anybody should deny access to it blows my mind.

not sure if anyone suggested this but i think we should have a chart with skill levels and on iden mod threads have the level needed to acheive the mod. for example. soldering lvl 0 no knowledge needed. lvl 1 limited knowledge needed ...etc. time lvl 1 will b done in less then 5 mins and so on you get it? and on "new threads" theres options or like drop down menus to select the lvls needed. i thought of this idea when i seen some of the led mod threads pplz saying if this is your first time doing leds on their fone dont try it itz too hard or what not. but you never know if that person has that lvl of knowledge of it and he most likely knows his own abilitys more then you do. .. i dunno maybe? lol

It use to work fine for me too in my old lappy. I think it could be is the version of quicktime is newer on this lappy. And a broken pic of quicktime comes out when I try to load Flash Chat. I was busy today but tomorrow I am going to try to figure out what that pic means. I will post what I find. I posted it here in case someone else had same problem.

Ok I fixed the problem. Be careful when downloading the java app from sun microsystems, It has two files infected with a virus within the installation files. If you delete or move the file to quarentine or a vault the java app will not work. The way to mkke it work is by healing the files. Hope this nade sense lol.

I use Firefox and I can see everything. Grim have you used the patcher and Firetune that can be found in PC section. They may change your settings so u can see it all.

i just downloaded web jal and web jal patcher, and someone gave me instructions how to install everything to put ring tones on my phone and they say for the log in of web jal you can just hit enter and it should work, but it isnt working for me... anyone have a solution or a sign in i could borrow... ?!?! thx

Aight, so I have noticed a lot of people commenting on how slow the site is loading. I think I may have a (small) solution to make it run faster.

Alexa's stats for the site say that 95% of sites load faster than this. So, using my vast SEO knowledge, (<**toots own horn**>) , A large part of this problem is due to everyone's sigs being hosted somewhere else. So, I am willing to host everyone's sig on one of my sites, which would solve 2 problems.

1. Site would load faster, and

2. We could increase bandwidth for the site.

Let me know if this sounds like a good idea, It was just a brainstorm I just had. :up: Again, I don't know HOW MUCH faster the site would load, but it definitely wouldn't hurt.

i got a better idea for all, how about we remove sigs all together? just leave Avi's? i mean it would be cleaner and better to run the board or we set a maximum allowance to be used and suggest no animations? limiting sigs for example maximum allowance of 320 x 300 or something like that ?

it really has not been a popular issue , i mean BB's are far more in demand. I don't see however why we cannot make a section for it, the true question though is who can run it? and maintain it? is there demand for that section?

Vb is byfar the BEST forum's on the net. Its untouchable by powerboard, phpbb and all those little bitch boards put together. Idk why you would even want to move from VB. The problem with the speed and everything isnt becuase of VB, its Jeffs shitty host. Theres not that many good hosts out there for under a few thousand and even they are full. The php errors are just bad handles in the gay add scripts at the bottme of the page, and can be fixed without much work.
