View Full Version : How to: Make custom color buttons

This is real easy.
1st Get some clear am all rubber buttons.
2nd Go to you local grocery store and shoplift a box of RIT fabric dye whatever color you want your buttons.
3rd Make a real strong mix of dye. Make sure you use hot water so the dye all dissolves.
4th let your buttons soak 20-45 minutes. Depending how dark you want the color.
5th Allow to dry thoroughly and enjoy your new buttons.
I made blue turned out excellent. If you make any other colors post pics.

have not had a problem with rubbing off so far after they soaked in the dye i rinsed them for like 5 min then rub them with my fingers to get any excess dye off they seem great so far

no it doesn't nextel 160, i have had a dark blue one that was left in for like an hour lol i used the phone like crazy, i even tried rubbing under watter and it hasn't even lightened

ive dyed similar things, (u can to alot of soft plastics) and it doesnt rub of neither does it fade
