Question about i730 ?!?

While looking around on Ebay, I noticed some of the i730's have printed on the front cover in blue color (T9 text) above the standard i730 print in silver right below it. I was just wondering if that means anything? Diffrent SW version? Or maybe one is newer then the other??? anyone reccomend which one to get?? -for a nOOb :mrgreen:

There is a clear protective coating on the outer panel so it dont get scratched when you receive it you peel it off...On that plastic it says T9 :up:

LOL!, I knew that! :) hahah yeah you can't really tell that from most of the pictures that i have seen that is a plastic cover THanks for the info man!. One more question, If i have a i60c cell phone, and would get a i730, Can i just swap min SIM card into the new I730? Or not?. Somewhere i read that you have to use the sim that comes with it to use all of the features on the new 3-digit series phones? is that true..

Nextel will tell you other wise but I have my i90 2 digit sim in my i730 the only 2 fetures I know you lose is you can only have 250 contacts instead of 600 and you cant asign ring tones to diffren pepole.
If you put the new 3 digit sim in your i60 you could make and recive calls as well as dc pepole but you will not be able to access your contact list.

I had the exact opposite thing happen to me. I put my i90 sim into my i730, and I could not access my phonebook. I could recieve and send DC and calls , but no phonebook.I just bought a 64k sim.problem, Done l

Hrmm :mrgreen: ok, thanks for the info. So, say that I wanted to use the 600 contacts, and assign ring tones for diffrent contacts, And that the i730 that I bought came with a SIM card, Could I call nextel and have them switch the stuff around? or how does that work? If I would call nextel could they add that SIM/phone to my account inplace of my old i60c phone/sim ?? :thinking: :smoke:

you can call nextel and have them transfer your account to the new sim then if you have a data cable ill hook you up so you can transfer your contact list :up:

if you have a data cable for the old phone it would be beter cause you could snap the middle peice and use on the new and old phone but if you get the new cable i dont think it will work on the old.

Just another question, I cannot connect for some reason with WebJAL, I cant get my phone to connect? But i was using my i60c as a test, should it still conn. or will WebJal only connect with java phones? 95-730??

It should you just have to do some trimming but its eazyer to make a i730 cable work for a i90 then vice versa.
