Windows Media Player cannot play the file ?

I got a music vid and when i try to play I get
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.
5 secs into the vid
any ideals?

Donwload and install this. Basicly you were missing a codec(like a decoder) that the file needed in order to play the video. This pack has any codec you can possibly ever need.

tryed with no luck
i dont think it was that anyway cause it playes 6 secs
when i use the old media player it pays 16 secs

Sounds like its a corrupt file..Is it something you can share with me or is it private? I could give it a look.

did you get it off of limewire or kazaa (p2p)? Cuz that happens to me when the file isn't fully downloaded...

Jeff, have you tried VLC Media Player. I use it with no problems

its a codec pack works great. if that dont work try VLC Player. If that cant play it then its a bad file and trash it.

i had the same problem as u do with a couple pornos i downloaded. i downloaded divx and the codecs that came with that let it play in wmp.
